Playful Music is a creative music and movement program for children. It is individually tailored to partner with Early Learning Centres to meet the specific developmental needs, learning outcomes and goals of the children in each room.
Through the use of props such as puppets, scarves, and percussion instruments, the children will learn to listen to, and actively participate in, creating music. The activities will use discovery, imitation, repetition and improvisation to promote sensory learning, language acquisition and musicality. The children will hear a variety of multi-generational and multi-cultural music and will be encouraged to learn through the joy and fun of singing, moving, and playing activities.

Structure of Playful Music Sessions

Structure is important for young children. Playful Music sessions are specifically created and structured, taking in to account the different learning needs and interests of each group. This will help the children to recognise and anticipate the order of activities, help guide their behaviour and increase their attention. They will gain confidence in learning and know what’s expected.
